Belief 6: All Food is Good Food

Part Five of the 10 Core Beliefs of a Body-Positive Home Workshop Series.

Rather paradoxically, if we want kids to be able to learn how to eat a reasonably balanced diet for the long haul, a solid food neutral foundation — where kale and cupcakes can co-exist on the same plate — is key. We will talk about the what, why, and how of building a food-neutral foundation—for eating disorder prevention in our kids, and healing for ourselves.

Belief 3: All Feelings Belong

Belief 3: All Feelings Belong

Part Two of the 10 Core Beliefs of a Body-Positive Home Workshop Series.

Family life is already full of emotion—tantrums, moods, marital conflict. Add in the charged terrain of bodies, food, and health, all against the relentless backdrop of diet culture, and things can tip fast. A child’s “enormous” appetite, “picky” eating, changing body, or cries of dissatisfaction. A parent’s fear of food additives, “ultra-processed” foods, or their own internalized anti-fatness. Put it all together, and you’ve got a very particular kind of emotional sh*t show.

My goal is to help you navigate it all in a way that happens to low-key nurture body image and healthier coping for your whole family…so you don’t accidentally make it worse.

Learn how to:

  • Become more comfortable with feelings — yours, your kids, your mother-in-laws, etc…

  • Foster self-trust — the root of resilience in food, body, and beyond.

  • Support nervous system regulation — building healthy coping strategies for stress, conflict, and change.

  • Lay foundations for long-term protection against not only eating and body image struggles, but also anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.

Included in the paid subscription.

Belief 1 and 2: All Bodies are Good Bodies & All Brains are Good Brains

Part One of the 10 Beliefs of a Body-Positive Home Workshop series.

Every child deserves to be known and accepted for who they truly are—not just on the surface, but in their full emotional, physical, and sensory expression. This workshop invites you to slow down and meet the actual child before you, with curiosity, clarity, and unconditional regard.

We’ll look at what it means to honor your child’s dignity across body size, ability, and neurotype—especially when their needs fall outside of what’s considered “typical.”
